Friendship is like sex I think. Everybody seems to want it, so why is it so fraught with difficulty?
It is of course a dilemma of our generation here in the
UK . Our parents for the most part stayed put in the same town, or were transported away by the Army or whatever into a cocooned social system of support. Their social structure was created over long periods of time around local environments. It was nicely fixed and peaceful. |
